The emergence of women entrepreneurs and their contribution to the national economy is quite visible in most parts of rural areas of western Kenya region. While rural women entrepreneurs have demonstrated their potential, the fact remains that they are capable of contributing much more than what they already are. Rural Women entrepreneurs create new jobs for themselves and others. They also provide their respective communities with different solutions to management, organization development and business problems as well as to the exploitation of entrepreneurial opportunities.

Rural women’s participation in agro-based activities is much more than what statistics reveal. This is mainly due to the fact that most of the work done by the women at farm and home is disguised as daily chores. Digital Technology and easy availability of labour will provide more time to energetic young women to engage themselves in self-employment or entrepreneur ventures. Rural women are having human and nonhuman resources to take up several enterprises need with innovative minds and motivation. Entrepreneurship is the only solution to the growing employment among rural youth.

Community organizations and networks are uniquely positioned to interact with affected communities, respond quickly to community needs and issues, and engage with affected and vulnerable groups. They offer direct services to communities while also advocating for better programming and policy environments. This allows them to influence the development, reach, implementation, and oversight of public systems and policies, as well as the contribution of a community to health.
