Regenerative farming contributes to both mitigating climate change by sequestering carbon and adapting to its impacts by improving the resilience of agricultural systems. This dual role makes it a key strategy for climate-smart agriculture. The focus on soil health, water conservation, and biodiversity makes regenerative farms more resilient to extreme weather events like droughts, floods, and storms, which are becoming more frequent due to climate change.  Regenerative farming reduces the need for synthetic fertilizers and pesticides by focusing on biological soil health and diverse ecosystems.
