Strengthening systems of grassroots CSOs (Civil Society Organizations) is of paramount importance for several reasons. These organizations play a vital role in promoting democracy, advancing social justice, and empowering marginalized communities. By recognizing the importance of these organizations and providing them with the necessary support, we can create a more equitable and participatory society.

Women's and youth participation at the grassroots level is critical in establishing the development agenda. Their inclusion ensures that development processes are inclusive, representative, and responsive to the larger population's needs and desires. Women and youth at the grassroots provide a variety of perspectives to the development agenda. Their diverse experiences, challenges, and goals provide vital insights that are sometimes neglected in traditional decision-making procedures. By engaging their perspectives, we may gain a more complete grasp of the community's needs and goals. Engaging grassroots women and youth gives them the ability to take charge of their own development. They are given the opportunity to shape policies and programs that directly affect their lives by incorporating them in decision-making.   Mentoring grassroots organizations plays a crucial role in promoting equity by providing guidance, support, and resources to empower feminist organizations in their efforts. Women Business Hub is promoting mentorship for grassroots organizations in order to: - (1)     Enhance their Capacity: Grassroots Human rights and feminist organizations often have limited resources, experience, and expertise. Mentoring helps build their capacity by sharing knowledge, skills, and best practices. Women Business Hub works with rural youths to transform them through life skills development and community engagement. The organization is using the following strategies to transform young people’s lives (1) Developing self-confidence and self-esteem : Life skills such as communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making can help young people build their self-confidence and self-esteem. When they learn how to express their thoughts and opinions, solve problems, and make decisions, they become more self-assured and assertive. Community organizations and networks are uniquely positioned to interact with affected communities, respond quickly to community needs and issues, and engage with affected and vulnerable groups. They offer direct services to communities while also advocating for better programming and policy environments. This allows them to influence the development, reach, implementation, and oversight of public systems and policies, as well as the contribution of a community to health. 

AMREF Health Africa developed the Organizational Development and Systems Strengthening (ODSS) curriculum to address the capacity needs of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in implementing quality interventions to address the social determinants of health among vulnerable and marginalized communities.
